The annual election meeting was held in Alexandria, Virginia. Discussion
included
- FOT financial report
- New requirements for FOT funded project, specifically
- money is transferred through the Peace Corps office
- each FOT-funded project must involve an active Peace Corps volunteer
- several new groups of returned volunteers have been formed to support
specific projects independent of FOT (though we are in contact with and working with them).
- Given the changes in fund transfer methods and the new groups, the question
was raised and discussed of what the role of FOT should be.
We will be soliciting comments and suggestions on the future role of FOT from
members and interested persons.
- Officers were elected. The new officers are
- President: Ruith Reeder
- Vice President: Anne Kaiser
- Secretary: Ellen Levin
- Treasurer: Dan Geisler
We encourage members to become more active in the organization.

Friends of Togo FINANCIAL STATEMENT
In 2011, FOT revenue was $16K and expenditures were $14K, of which 65% was
devoted to projects in Togo. This yielded a net operating surplus of $2K.
At year's end, net assets stood at $21K.

Tchao Bamaze Retires
HAP (health) APCD Tchao Bamaze retired after 24.5 years. PCVs are
putting together a scrapbook. Please get the word out to members and if
anyone would like to contribute memories, pictures of Tchao, etc send
them my way.
